Rev. Sherrien Shui
Founding President & Instructor
Speaks English, Mandarin, Taiwanese and Shanghainese

In my past 20 years in the special event and wedding industry, I received many requests from my clients and other vendors, such as: "Can you find me a DJ that can speak English, Vietnamese and Cantonese?" "Do you know any officiant that can speak Mandarin and Korean?" Or, "I want a videographer that can communicate with my relatives from Asia.";
I received calls from various wedding vendors or people who want to start their career in the wedding industry asking for advice or marketing strategies. I also witnessed many quality wedding professionals fail to market themselves and struggle to survive in the wedding industry. This motivated me to establish Asian American Wedding Professionals Association. My goal is to help Asian American wedding professionals enhancing their marketing and networking skills and effectively do businesses with brides and grooms.
Prior to Twogether Events, a full wedding service company, I worked as a corporate event planner at Fiserv and Arthur Andersen LLP. I have experiences in managing Italian restaurants, flower shop and bakery. My passion for the industry has led me down many paths, including becoming an on-air talent for many regionally syndicated radio television shows.
In today’s economy, we need to work together through networking, exchanging information and professional training. This organization is young and has a lot potentials. We are always open to suggestions from wedding vendors, brides and grooms to help this organization grow. I am looking forward in meeting and working with all of you.
