Asian American Wedding Professionals Association (AAWPA) is targeting on enhancing the skills and knowledge for our members and general public who are interested in the wedding industry. Through our regular meetings, we share our busines resources and opportunities with all and also provide
Every year, AAWPA will have delegation visiting outside of USA to different Asian countries for the purpose of exchanging ideas and opportunities.
Types of Membership
Standard Member: Wedding Service Providers who derive most of income from brides and grooms. Membership fee is $150 per year.
Associate Member: Merchants who derive most of income from wedding service providers and/or others. Membership fee is $250 per year. Associate Members must offer a discount to all members.
Student Member: This is for current enrolled student and/or graduate from "AAWPA Certificate Program for Wedding Consultants". Membership fee is $75 per year. Graduates over a year and continuing education students who are currently working as wedding professionals are not eligible. If you are not currently enrolled and would like to get the discount tuition, please join as "Standard Member".
All members must pay a $25 initial setup fee for AAWPA online directory.
Eligibility
Wedding Service Provider who is at least 21 years old, operating and/or employed by a wedding related business, and the application is approved by AAWPA Board of Directors may join this organization.
Standards of Membership
- Supply background information about the member and his/her business, or other information essential to the Association's responsibility to provide factual reports on the profession.
- Cooperate with Association activities and efforts to promote and improve the professionalism of the bridal business.
- Respond rapidly and honestly to all complaints forwarded by the Association.
- Supply, on request, the evidence on which any advertising is based.
- Use the Associations name and logo only as authorized.
- Pay all association bills in a timely manner.
Code of Ethics
Members will:- Represent each client and wedding professional fairly and honestly, providing all agreed-to services in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
- Establish reasonable, proper fees for services and provide written estimates to each client.
- Use honest factual advertising.
- Deal with employees fairly, in an unbiased manner.
- Operate an establishment that is a credit to the Association and the community.
- Honor all agreements made with customers, suppliers and service providers.
Term | Prorate
AAWPA's membership begins on February 1st of current year thru January 31st of the following year. Fees are not prorated. Annual membership renewal date is January 31st.
Refund | Transfer | Early Termination
One membership per individual. No shared membership and transfer is allowed. No refund and no transfer will be given if you decide to terminate the membership before January 31st.
